At Soul Pilates, we help you feel amazing in your body – not just for today, but for life.
We’re here to guide you towards strength that supports your whole self: body, mind and nervous system.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing stress, or simply craving more connection to your body, our approach is grounded in science, led with compassion, and designed for real life.
We offer more than just classes. We offer a moment to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself. With reformer, equipment and mat Pilates, 1:1 sessions, retreats and small-group workshops, you’ll find support for every chapter of your movement journey.
After a decade, one thing hasn’t changed – we’re still here for the long haul, helping you build a body that feels strong, capable and truly yours.
Love Eliza’s mat class – the level two is intense but she uses all props to make it fun and supportive do you don’t realise how hard you are working – it’s a perfect combination of traditional Pilates moves delivered with confidence and knowledge.
‘Mat’ came before reformer and it’s a great full body movement class which gives every bit of your body some attention and leaves you feeling well balanced and stretched.
I do 2 classes a week at Soul Pilates. The teachers bring their own personal styles which keeps classes fresh but what is consistent in the Soul approach is the emphasis on finding your own ease of movement whilst offering safe challenges.
As a 64 year old woman I feel that I can lead an active life with confidence. A recent improvement I’ve noticed is that I seem to be hitting my golf shots further. I think I have more rotation and flexibility.
And the office staff are always helpful too.
I’m loving my return to Reformer pilates. The studio is a great place to focus and the teachers are brilliant. I have osteoporosis and a hip replacement (and I’m old) and their attention to individuals in the group is fantastic.
I first posted this review two years ago and it is still just as true. I am stronger now than when I started and my posture is better than it has ever been.
Restarted Pilates as I am aware that, as a 40+ woman with a back injury that I need to manage, I need to keep working on my core strength.
I have now attended 200+ classes at Soul and haven’t had any issues with my back. I feel stronger, more confident in my back and really enjoy how varied the classes are, even with the same instructors.
It has also been great for my mental wellbeing, which has been an added bonus.
Would thoroughly recommend!
Our story began when our founder, Nic Lenny, discovered Pilates after a car accident left her with daily back pain.
What she found wasn’t just relief – it was a new way of moving, thinking and living.
That experience shaped the way we teach today: with empathy, with intention, and with a focus on long-term wellbeing.
Now, over 10 years later, Soul Pilates is home to three Bristol studios – in Bishopston, Queen Square and Paintworks – and a growing community of people who want to feel strong, grounded and pain-free in everyday life.
Every teacher at Soul Pilates brings deep expertise and real care – but we also do something many studios don’t: we train the next generation.
Through our teacher training programme, our members benefit from some of the most thoughtful, well-educated instructors in the industry. It keeps our approach fresh, grounded and ever-evolving – and makes our community a place of learning and growth for everyone who walks through our doors.
